Program Name - Social Slate-A SEL Program
Program Details -  Social and emotional learning is the process through which children learn social competence and emotional maturity. Skills like handling disappointment, self control, understanding emotions are just few of the skills that fall under SEL. These skills are equally important to learn just like learning math, science and reading is. Children who learn these skills early on tend to do well in academics and later in their personal and professionl lives.
 
In the book companion program, children will be read books that target specific social and emotional skills like handling worry, developing self esteem etc. Children will engage in discussions and share their thoughts and experiences. They will then reflect and participate in an activity related to the skill.
 
Program Duration - Each session will be month long.
 
Program Day - Every Monday
 
Timings: 5:40pm -6:30pm
