Sunday Story Time!

Welcome back for Sunday Story Time. Today we are sharing a book abut animals called "Dear Zoo" by Rod Campbell. It is a simple book which will keep the little ones enthralled and engaged. The illustrations are bold and colourful. The repetitive text makes this book perfect for retelling.

Please note that the story telling of this book is done along with my little one, so don't expect it to be perfect. The book is being read with my daughter, so that you get an idea on how to involve young children in reading. Reading books should be interactive and exciting for little children and if they are involved in the story, it makes reading a joyful experience for them.

We followed up the story, with a memory game. I placed few animal magnets on a white board. The little one observed for few seconds and than I removed a magnet. She had to guess which one I had removed. We played several rounds of this and it was fun.

We did a simple lion craft and it was very easy to put together.

We ended with a cute song about jungle animals and used our puppets while singing.

Hope you enjoyed today's story. This was the last story in our series, 'Story time with Neha and Naira'. If you enjoyed them, then please join us for 10 summer story time videos that I will post on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SpoonfulsofKindergarten/
