Rangoli with children- A non messy and fun idea!

Children love colours and Diwali is a perfect time to let them work creatively with colours by engaging them in Rangoli making. Rangoli is a traditional Indian decoration made with ground rice, and used particularly during festivals.

Creating Rangoli designs, teaches children about patterns and colours and gives them a wonderful sensory experience.

But if you are worried about the mess that children are bound to make while making rangoli, you can use my equally fun, non messy way to make rangoli.

Now you may ask, how is that possible?

It is! and its totally enjoyable. Take out those foam shapes that you would have otherwise reserved for a math lesson and let the magic unfold.

Innovative Rangoli Design!

I like children to get creative and come up with their own designs but if you want to provide scaffolding, you can draw the design with a marker/chalk and let them fill it up with shapes.

So go ahead and make rangoli with a twist this year!
